The Gallery was opened in 2001 by the Strovolos Mayor Mr Savvas Eliofotou.  Since then a lot of Cypriot and foreign artists have exhibited their work here - painting, scultptures and icons.  In addition, the management regularly screens quality films outside in the garden, organises poetry and music evenings under the moon and invites  distinguished people to give lectures, seminars and lead a variety of discussions.

Tehnis Dromena Gallery is located in the centre of the old Strovolos area in a traditional house built in 1921.  The imposing entrance, the wooden stairs, the traditional high windows, the wooden beams on the ceiling, the attractive arch, the balcony and the impressive inside yard, make the building unique.
